Karin Mitterbauer, MA
born in 1969 in Austria, lives in Salzburg/Austria, near Altötting/Germany and at the Lake of Garda/Italy with her partner Stephan and her son Jakob
- master of arts (music) from Mozarteum University in Salzburg in 1992
- studied theology, philosophy and comparative religions at the University Salzburg
- studied ethnic drums and percussion with masterdrummers in Europe, West-Africa, Brasil and Cuba
- holds a certificate as psychological counselor in “Integrative Bodypsychotherapy” (IBP-Institute Switzerland – USA)
- trained as a drumcircle facilitator by Arthur Hull, USA
- trained as a watershiatsu and waterdance practitioner
- founded and directs her private drumming- and percussion school in Salzburg
- teaches music, rhythm, movement and intercultural communication on an international scale
- designed and directs a 3 year training course in „Integrative Drum and Rhythm Paedagogics“
- offers continuing education programs for teachers and kindergardeners
- designs and leads high energy events with music, movement, play and rituals
- provides team development, training and consulting with Drumcircle programs
- performs professionally in 3 music groups: Affenbrot, Arcoiris and Drums-and-Roses
